Trimble

We’re helping our customers do their work better, faster, safer and cheaper

Connecting the world

US company Trimble is a giant of pioneering technology, with a mission to solve the problems of daily life, to “feed the world, move the world, build the world”.

The company’s digital innovations provide a link between the digital and physical worlds and are transforming customers’ decision-making across multiple industries, such as building construction, civil construction, transportation, agriculture, forestry and utilities.

Founded in 1978, Trimble was the first to introduce machine control to construction vehicles. Today, its products build on such early progress, along with advancements in spatial and 3D modeling technology, and world-class software that not only connects the office and field, but also the realms of supply chains, accountancy and project management.

“Bringing engineering and product together, that’s where the magic happens,” says Ian Welch, Engineering Director at Trimble.

Big data

Data collection and interpretation are key to the way Trimble helps customers rethink their working methods. Analysing the volume of data is a huge task, with more data generated between 2022 and 2024 “than has been produced throughout the history of humanity,” says Rob Painter, Trimble CEO.

For Trimble, helping customers use that data encourages more sustainable practices. “We see an opportunity to leverage data to create more insight, to create better outcomes, to connect that data, to connect work, workflows and people,” says Painter.

Better design

The technology Trimble develops has made tangible changes to spaces such as architecture and design. Here, the company’s suite of software tools enables architects, designers and engineers to collaborate at the early stages of a project to make informed decisions long before expensive construction work has begun. Comprehensive, real-time data is provided by applications including BIM (Building Information Modeling), 3D modeling and digital twin systems.

Whether analysing energy performance or light, making those right decisions early on has a long-term impact on the overall sustainability of a project and the reduction of its carbon footprint.

“Trimble helps you access the right data at the right time in the right way, so that you can make those choices and adjust how you deliver the projects,” says Sumele Adelana, Product Marketing Manager at Trimble.
